Princess Kate’s Stunning Shoulder-Baring Gown at Olympics Event

The Princess of Wales enjoys watching sports, and she is known for dressing to kill at events like Wimbledon or Royal Ascot, to name just two.

The Prince and Princess of Monaco, along with the King and Queen of Denmark and Spain, arrived to celebrate the opening of the 2024 Olympics, which are currently being held in Paris.

However, back in 2016, Catherine, who is currently 42 years old, flaunted her fashion sense as she showed up to SportsAid’s 40th anniversary dinner to meet athletes who were scheduled to compete in Rio for charity.

The Princess wore a stunning knee-length royal blue gown with a slightly voluminous skirt that flared to the floor. The V-neckline and cold-shoulder detail on the figure-flattering dress were features.

Prince William’s wife accessorized her outfit with a subtle clutch and a pair of suede black peep-toe heels.

The royal’s glittery, oversized silver hoops earrings gave her ensemble a glamorous touch. The sapphire engagement ring’s brilliant hue was accentuated by the blue hue of her gown.

The mother-of-three went for a traditionally elegant look for her hair and makeup. Catherine opted for bouncy waves for her shoulder-length looks and a shimmery, cool-toned smokey eye.

Catherine’s Olympic wardrobe
Catherine has a history of going above and beyond during Olympic celebrations. The Princess went to a Buckingham Palace reception for Team GB medallists in 2012, the year the games were held in London.

She wore a surprising black midi dress with sheer sleeves and beautiful floral beading that looked elegant. The dress with fluted sleeves was accessorized with a wavy blowdry and platform heels.

On day 10, the future King’s mother—who wed into the royal family just a year before the London 2012 Olympics—was also observed walking around the boat park at Weymouth Harbour wearing athletic clothing.

She looked amazing in a Team GB jacket, red sneakers, and slim jeans. When the royal and Prince William visited the Team GB quarters in the Athletes Village at the Olympic Park in Stratford, the princess dressed up her skinny jeans.

The daughter-in-law of King Charles also donned a navy blazer and striped top to match her closed-toe heeled cork wedges. An Olympic ensemble would naturally be incomplete without a Team GB scarf that mirrors the design on her spouse’s white shirt.
