The Princess of Wales has made her second appearance of the year at the Men’s Finals at Wimbledon.
The Princess of Wales has proudly handed out the winning trophy at the Men’s Finals at Wimbledon today.
Princess Kate arrived earlier this afternoon with her daughter Princess Charlotte, nine, before making her way to Centre Court.
Following his triumph, Kate, who is patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, presented the winner’s trophy to Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz after beating Serbia’s Novak Djokovic.
Dressed in a £1295 bespoke dress from Safiyaa, the 42-year-old was greeted with a standing ovation as she headed into the Royal Box.
Alcaraz now has four Grand Slam trophies with a perfect record in major finals. He has two Wimbledon triumphs, his US Open victory in 2022 and his French Open win last month.
As well as presenting the winning trophy to Alcaraz, Kate also awarded the runners-up shield to Novak Djokovic.
Kate’s attendance at Wimbledon today marks the first time she has officially appeared in public since her last outing at Trooping the Colour last month.
The Princess of Wales announced that she had cancer in March and has since been undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
Kate has shown her love for sports with numerous appearances at Wimbledon and various charity events and is best known for typically attending the female games.
Earlier this week, the mother of three paid tribute to Andy Murray’s “incredible Wimbledon career” as the tennis star is said to be “absolutely devastated” after Emma Raducanu pulled out of their doubles match.
In her social media post, Kate penned: “An incredible Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud Andy Murray. On behalf of all of us, thank you! C.”
As well as her young daughter, Kate was also joined in the royal box by her sister Pippa Matthews.
Her appearance was confirmed on Saturday, with a statement that read: “The Princess of Wales, Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club will attend the Gentleman’s Singles Final of the Championships on Sunday 14th July.”

As Kate and Charlotte attended Wimbledon today, Prince William is in Germany to watch England play in tonight’s Euros final.
